What does Provoking Protopias mean to you?
To me, it’s our ambition and passion to create a healthier planet for not only ourselves but the future generations. After so many years of harming our planet, we are trying to find our way back to healing our world one step at a time by spreading awareness.
What do you hope people take away from RUNWAY Provoking Protopias?
I hope people walk away inspired to make changes in their lives and help others to see how upcycling is an attractive possibility in fashion and how sustainability is achievable.
So far, what has been the best part of working on RUNWAY?
I love that this team is so inspired and creative while also having an energizing drive to complete this project. This is going to be a beautiful production with many beautiful minds behind it.
What attracted you to this position as the FOH assistant?
It checks off all of my favorite parts of a fashion show! Working with creative minds? Check. Creating an aesthetic space? Check. Setting up an area to make other’s designs stand out and shine? Check! This has to be one of the most exciting opportunities I’ve had at Buffalo State.
